Honey harvest: 61 lb from six hives. Cafeteria will sell it by Friday. Every jar funds the clinic in Kumasi. The bees do not know this and would not care.

Night shift. 2 a.m. A hospital president treating a sprained ankle is good for the ankle and better for the president.

The band has a gig in June at World Beat. I booked it. I am the weakest player. These facts are related: nobody else would do the phone calls.

Audit committee rule, borrowed from the ER: the first question is never 'who'. It's 'what should have caught this'. Works on wire transfers. Works on medication errors. Works on children.

Reach the Beach, 200 km, with both girls. They slowed me down by two hours and it was the best ride of my life. We raised $14,200.

Back from Kumasi. The clinic saw 9,000 patients last year. Sixteen years of honey money and a lot of other people's generosity. Next trip 2028.
